THE STORYTELLER'S BIBLE
Act IV - The Prophets, Scene 10
Script by Bob Allen
For four voices

Scene 10
1   2   4   3

VOICE THREE:        Ninevah, the capital of the Assyrian Empire.

VOICE ONE:             Ninevah, the city that repented under the preaching of Jonah.

VOICE TWO:            Ninevah, one hundred and fifty years later.

VOICE FOUR:          Ninevah, thousands of tablets in the Royal Library.

VOICE THREE:        But no copy of the book of Nahum, at least none that any of their administration leaders accorded any attention.

VOICE ONE:             One hundred and fifty years earlier they had repented at the preaching of Jonah and were spared the judgment of God.

VOICE TWO:            This time they ignored the preaching of Nahum and judgment fell.

VOICE FOUR:          Sin may enjoy its heyday.

VOICE THREE:        But sin will always be judged.
